EVERYTHING COMES TO AN END
Friendly and food-obsessed, hedonistic and historic, cultured and curious, Thailand tempts visitors with a smile as golden as the country’s glittering temples and tropical beaches. With a luxuriously long coastline (actually, two coastlines) and over 1400 jungle-topped islands anchored in azure waters, Thailand is a tropical getaway fit for everyone, whether hedonist or hermit, prince or pauper. The country’s coast is one giant playground, with plenty going on wherever the sand meets the sea. You can snorkel the gentle waters off Ko Lipe, dive with whale sharks around Ko Tao, scale the sea cliffs of Krabi, kiteboard in Hua Hin, party on Ko Phi-Phi and recuperate at a health resort on Ko Samui.
DAY 1: EXPLORE THE LAND OF SMILES
On the 1st day when after people have arrived, we will take time to get everyone unpacked and settled in. In the evening we will go and grab some dinner so everyone can mingle with each other and get to know the group they will exploring Thailand with!
DAY 2: DISCOVER THE KHO SAN ROAD
We are off to visit the famous Kho San road. The backpacking district of Khao San Road is the traveller’s hub of South East Asia. Jam-packed with raucous bars and restaurants as well as budget hostels, it’s a favourite for late-night revellers!
DAY 3: GET TO KNOW THE CULTURE
There are more than 400 wats (temples) scattered all around Bangkok. On this day we will go and visit some of the temples in the city including the famous Wat Pra Kaew, Wat Arun and Wat Pho. In order to respect local traditions we advise that you wear a t-shirt/blouse that covers your shoulders and proper shoes as some temples will not allow flip flops.
• After visiting some temples we will also go and visit the famous Grand Palace to finish our day of fun exploration.
• To sign out of Bangkok we will go to a rooftop bar to end the Bangkok visit on a relaxed vibe.
DAY 4: TIME FOR YOU TO GET WET
Arrive in Chiang Mai. After everyone has unpacked we will make our way to the Grand Canyon to have some fun in the waterpark and escape the daily heat of Chiang Mai!
• Chiang Mai Grand Canyon is a waterpark built in a former limestone quarry. It has become a popular swimming spot because of the natural beauty of the canyon. It offers an inflatable obstacle course, slides, a small zipline and wakeboarding.
• For those adventure seekers looking to get their adrenaline pumping and hearts pounding you can go cliff jumping from the edges of the canyon into the deep water below. For those looking for a more relaxing day out, you can opt to float on bamboo rafts sunbathing or cheering your adrenaline seeking friends on before they jump, keep cool as you float in an inner tube or swim in the clear turquoise waters.
DAY 5: DID YOU WATCH TIGER KING
We will go and visit the tigers. This will be a chance to see one of the fiercest creatures on Earth up close. Chiang Mai’s Tiger Kingdom is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to interact with adolescent tigers and baby cubs. You can do everything from bottle-feeding the baby tigers to bravely posing with and petting the big guys. A couple hours here will stick with you forever, and knowing that the tigers at Chiang Mai’s Tiger Kingdom are treated with great care will help to give you peace of mind.
DAY 6: GET CLOSE TO THE BIG BEASTS
We will go and visit the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is an ethical elephant sanctuary near Chiang Mai (only a 1.5-hour drive away). When you arrive at the Chiang Mai Elephant Sanctuary, the guides will give you a basic overview of the tour, some information about the elephants and then traditional Karen clothes to wear during the tour. You will get the chance to feed, bathe and even play with the elephants (just FYI elephants have a great memory and they will be able to remember you even forty years from now!)
DAY 7: EXPLORE THE WATER MARKETS
To end our time in Chiang Mai, we will dedicate our time and energy to go and help the less privileged. We all like to have fun but we also want to create a meaningful experience and inspire the people who travel with us to help make a change, even when the trip is done!
DAY 8: WHIPPIN N EXCURSION
We will arrive in the final destination which is Phuket. The first activity we will do is in Phuket is go on the quad bikes (ATV’S). Enjoy a fun and safe ride through real untamed rainforests, get in touch with local villages, farms, plantations, dark mangrove forests, discover a hidden waterfall and an unspoilt beach. Quad Biking is a real extreme adventure for those who want an alternative to the usual lazy beach holiday and aimlessly roaming around the island.
DAY 9: HAVE YOU EVER SEEN SEE THROUGH WATER?
Phuket is one of Asia’s most celebrated beach destinations. Featuring long stretches of white sandy beaches peppered with dramatic rock formations, its coastline is the stuff of every escapist’s dreams. So it’s not surprising that island hopping is THE activity on everybody’s Phuket itinerary.
- This is where you will become like Dora the explorer and go on a boat to visit some of the surrounding islands around Phuket and just soak in the natural beauty that is bestowed upon Thailand.
DAY 10: ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF THAI BEACHES
Begin your water sports adventure with a transfer to the top-notch cruising vessel at Chalong Pier. Soak up the stellar marine views and enjoy a light breakfast on the approximately 1.5-hour journey to Koh Racha Yai with it’s aquamarine bay stretching out from a white sandy beach. After arriving at the island’s welcoming shore, take your pick from a variety of water activities to customise your day. Make a grand entrance into the crystalline waters with a trip down the boat’s inflatable water slide, and put on a snorkelling mask and fins to explore the colourful underwater world. Grab a paddle to make use of provided kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, or transparent canoes, and soak up the sun on a sandy beach. Enjoy a fresh buffet lunch with beverages aboard the boat midday. Relax on the return journey to Phuket and savour a light Thai-style snack of pancakes and fruit along the way.*
DAY 11: EVERYTHING COMES TO AN END
After jam packed trip, our time together has come to an end (sad face). This is the perfect opportunity to get any last-minute gifts/souvenirs. Don’t worry though this won’t be the last time we see each other… until the next trip our friend #DiscoverANewWorld
