SNOWMOBILING GOLDEN CIRCLE
The name itself says almost all you need to know about Iceland, but don’t let the cold scare you off – the country may be just below the Arctic Circle, but the temperatures in winter are often higher than in New York, for example. Iceland is much more than just freezing weather and splendid glaciers, so pack your bags and enjoy natural wonders you won’t find anywhere else in the world.
DAY 1: NORTHERN LIGHTS
Experience one of the world’s great natural phenomena. Explore Northern Lights in the Aurora Museum. The locations visited differ from day-to-day, but you will head in the direction with the most chance of seeing Mother Nature at work.
DAY 2: SNOWMOBILING GOLDEN CIRCLE
Head to the famous Golden Circle from Reykjavík on this 10-hour small-group tour. Take in some of Iceland’s most famous sights, stopping first at historic Thingvellir National Park. Continue to Langjökull Glacier, and spend an hour driving a snowmobile before returning to Reykjavik.
DAY 2: OLD TOWN ROAD
A horse riding tour through the south of Iceland in which you will encounter amazing landscapes on the back of a friendly Icelandic horse. You can also choose between several terrains of varying degrees of difficulty to find the level perfect for you.
DAY 3: BLUE LAGOON
Enter a timeless world of warmth, well being, and wonder in the heart of a volcanic frontier. Experience the rejuvenating powers of the Blue Lagoon’s legendary waters and explore the breathtaking beauty of the moss-covered landscape.
DAY 4: YOURISM EATS
Discover Reykjavik’s foodie scene and sample delicious Icelandic cuisine on this walking tour. Visit a variety of Reykjavik eateries from restaurants to food trucks, and sample a selection of traditional dishes and street food favourites including Icelandic cheeses, lamb, homemade ice cream, and the famous Icelandic hot dogs. Along the way, pass by landmarks such as Hallgrimskirkja, the Harpa concert hall, and Parliament House.
