HOW IT WORKS?

Why Yourism?

Yourism offers people a chance to explore the world but at the same time make a meaningful impact to the places they find themselves travelling with us too.

Who comes on Yourism adventures?

Anybody over the age of 18 who wants to see the world and at the same time wants to make an impact.

How do I book?

You can book a trip by clicking on the trip you want to go on and then press ‘BOOK NOW’ through the booking system on the website.

Are domestic flights and transfers included in the cost?

Only domestic transfers are included in the cost. Domestic flights have to be booked separately.

What types of accommodation do you use?

The standard of hotels you’ll stay in depends on which trip you choose and can vary throughout a trip. We can assure you that you will stay in a 3 – 5 star hotel, that we have taken time to research and hand-picked for your comfort and peace of mind.

Do I need to pay the total cost upfront?

No, you can pay for your selected trip in instalments.

Are domestic flights and transfers included in the cost?

No you will have to book those separately.

When is my balance due?

The balance due for any trip is 45 days prior to the date stated for your selected trip.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes you can pay in instalments.

Can I pay on different credit cards?

Yes, but you will have to pay in the same currency. We also do not charge credit card fees.

Can I have an extension on the 45 days’ deadline?

Unfortunately not, because we also have a deadline that we have to pay our suppliers by.

Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately we do not give refunds. However we can credit the payments you have made to your account towards another trip.

What is the best way to carry money?

We can only advise that you carry some cash and also carry money electronically.

What will the food be like on the trip?

We will eat the local cuisine that is available.

How safe are my belongings on the trip?

Your belongings will be very safe on the trip, however it is your responsibility to look after your own belongings as we are not liable for any damages or stolen property.

Are there age restrictions on your trips?

Yes, only people over the age of 18 can attend our trips.

Do you provide travel insurance?

We do not provide travel insurance.

What's not included that I should budget for?

How much spending money you’ll need will depend on the duration of the trip and how much you anticipate spending on personal expenses such food, drinks, shopping etc. Before you travel with us, we recommend for you to read up on and get an idea of the destination. We’d advise doing some research on your chosen destinations beforehand.

Do I get free time?

Yes of course you will get free time to do whatever you want. However we do strongly encourage people to take part in the activities/excursions that we have already planned for you.

I’m a solo traveller – is that OK?

This is the beauty of the Yourism style of travel: many of our travellers join because they are travelling solo and want to meet and share experiences with like-minded people. Find out more here.

How do I find out about the visa requirements for the trip I am interested in?

We always recommend that passengers check with their local embassy as visa rules can change without warning.

Can I opt out of certain activities if I want to?

Yes you can. If there are included activities that you don’t wish to participate in, you can do your own thing instead. Please note that if you choose to opt out of an included activity, no reimbursement can be made by Yourism.

How many people can join a tour?

We keep our group sizes low so you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from our local guides. This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. You can expect up to 15 travellers on a trip but the average is 10. Check individual trip pages for maximum group sizes.
